Earlier I had a conversation with a WoW friend. His name will not be disclosed because…I don’t know. So anyhoo here it goes.
Wow Friend: HEY HUGGIE BEAR!!!!

WF: So we rolling deep in WotLK right?
Me: I am hardly playing right now. I saw Illidan die and I was happy with that. You haven’t been playing either…WTF scrub?
WF: Took the summer off but I’m coming back and starting the guild for WotLK. I want to compete for world firsts. So when xpac hits you have a week to level to 80. You might want to take the week off from work so you can hit 80.
Me: /blink…what? World firsts? I quit the game…somewhat.
WF: WTF Hugs?!?!?! We need you!
Me: No. I like having a real life. Stop tempting me.
WF: You know you want to. You owe me. Who tanked Heroic BF with uber lag?
Me: No…/sigh
WF: We can name the guild after pirates.
Me: Fuck you for knowing my weakness.

The Blizzcon Tickets Fiasco

On Monday Blizzcon tickets went on sale and man it wasn’t pretty. Some people got tickets and a whole lot of people didn’t do to server issues. It was like that all the way up until they sold out yesterday at 8pm PST.
Everyone is frustrated because of the crappy way Blizzard handled the ticket distribution. It was based on luck. Fortunately for me, Carrie got lucky and got in and was able to buy my ticket. Seriously, I was very lucky. This was after two day of hitting F5 like a crazy person at work and at home for the past two days.
Even until now people are still nerd raging it on the forums. I am hoping Drew got his ticket because Suk couldn’t get his so I won’t be a loner.

Tonight was my first Illidan kill and clearing Black Temple. It was a basic fight and it was sort of anticlimatic. I seriously think the funnest fights in BC so far have been Leo, Vashj and Kael Thas. We’ve been working on Kalecgos and it’s been a weird but interesting fight so far. Hopefully he goes down soon.

It’s really hard to believe that its been a month or so that the one of the best guilds in WoW history died off. I am seriously still impressed with the post made on their website. It’s just not a game.
Here is an excerpt of it…
Pride. Once upon a time we had pride. Pride in our guild, pride in ourselves, pride in what we’d done. Pride is showing up and giving your best effort, ESPECIALLY when you don’t want to be there, because your guildmates deserve that. We didn’t always get world firsts, it’s impossible to always be first, that’s just not how the game works, but we showed up every day, EARLY and busted our asses, and we were proud of what we accomplished, be it world first or world 1000th. We didn’t whine or complain about our fucking groups, or worry about loot. We killed bosses. Period. We gave our best effort because those around us deserved it, because the guild deserved it. We had pride about what we had done, not what those before us had done. But we also didn’t have false pride. Once upon a time when people couldn’t or didn’t want to keep up the raiding schedule, they had the guts and decency to let the rest of us know. Now they slink off into the night without even a word.

That’s my friend Pete and this is probably the one millionth time I have started over. So, here we go again. I am going to prove him wrong, that I can blog. Ahh, who am I kidding. I am going to give up. But hey, I’ll try to make it interesting.
So today was another Sunday, blah, blah. I trolled Facebook, took a nap and of course raided. To my surprise I logged on and it was decided that Sunday would be a five hour raiding night. FUN! Tonight we waited for some more healers to come on so we could work on Kalecgos. While waiting we worked on Vashj. She bugged out twice. TWICE. We opened a ticket with a GM and then headed over to Sunwell. Our best attempt was killing the dragon but not killing the demon fast enough.
Le sigh. We should be able to drop him next week.
