The past few days at work have been interesting. As I dive more in more into this new project it becomes cooler and to see all the things I need to do as an engineer has motivated me to work hard. The downside is that I hardly talk to anyone. Yesterday I spent a good five hours anchored to my desk working. After work I was talking to Adam and Carrie and I felt disconnected and weird.

But hey! I got teh mojozz back.

For some reason last week was a pretty long week. I felt drain coming into the weekend. At work, I worked on our dev boxes installing Django and recreating our MySQL DEV DB. Brushing up on my Linux h4×0r sk1llz. It was pretty much easy with the exception of Python hating me. I had to recompile the mofo 3 times with the right devel packages to work. Dah well! Thanks to Andy for the help he provided me.
In other news I’ve just been playing WoW and WAR. I’m in full tier 7 on my priest…w00t. In WAR I got my White Lion up to Level 12 but the gang decided we needed a tank. So I am rerolling and spent a couple of hours leveling my Swordmaster. I need to catch up.
Yesterday we watched Role Models which was freakin’ hilarious. After that we caught the Tonight Show and Seth Rogen was a guest. Man that guy lost a lot of weight. He is motivating me to hit the gym again. /flex

So on Monday was my one year anniversary at Technorati. My coworkers bought me a big frigging cookie! Thanks guys!

So our office had to move today down the block. I didn’t realize how much stuff we had. The only thing I knew I was going to dread was moving our big conference table. My feet are really tired and I hope my knee doesn’t get bummed but I will ice it tonight just to be safe.
I really have to say moving is a team building exercise and everyone has to be driven along with being on the same page. Tonight I was humbled by the hard work ALL of my coworkers put in with moving. Even our women flexed their muscles by moving tables and other objects bigger than them. My hat is off to you Mariam, Sara and Yoanna.
I think what motivated us the most is that we wanted to get out of our building. It pretty much wasn’t the best place to work at because of certain conditions I don’t want to get into right now since I am too damn tired.
Anyhoo, after the move Justin and I went to I-Hop for some food. He accidentally locked his keys in his car but fortunately he didn’t shut his door all the way. I had a wire hanger he stuck through the crevice so he could play the crane game to get his keys and he did! Seriously, he was half man and half amazing.
Alright. I am pooped. We still need to settle in tomorrow into our new digs.

It is no secret that I enjoy going out to the pubs, bars and clubs and having a drink or two or million. It is rough economy out there and I wanted to help out my fellow drunkards who live in Los Angeles. So I challenged Adam and Justin to get me drunk for forty dollars.
We set out last Friday night to a bar called Liquid Kitty in Santa Monica. Adam and Justin didn’t play fair because the first shot was Bacardi 151… that’s just wrong! I was pretty much wrecked but not drunk from there. I got to chase it with a Long Island Iced Tea. So you can say I was done. So yes, you can drink for under $40.
You can pretty much go to any dive bar in LA and do your thang. I really recommend Liquid Kitty because they have some great deals. You can have PBR with pretty much any shot for around $5. Yes PBR isn’t the best but it will efff you up!
Thanks to Adam and Justin for doing this challenge. More kudos to Adam for being the DD. Don’t forget to be smart guys and drink safe, so have a DD! Have a good holiday!

First of all, Happy Birthday to my sister! I hope you have a good one.
I have changed the sub header of my blog to “A WoW Addict in Denial.” I have scratched the itch again and I am on my way to level 80 and hoping to go into Naxxaramas soon. I am however trying out new things not just sitting in front of my computer. Next week I am going to try soccer with my coworkers, hopefully I don’t make an ass out of myself.
Besides changing my sub header you will notice the ads I am serving on the right hand bar. We have launched the beta of Technorati Media – Engage ad platform. I encourage my fellow bloggers to check it out and sign up as a publisher if you are interested. It’s our baby here at work. It is our blood, sweat and tears…seriously. I had to put off leveling to help launch this bad boy. That’s how much I’ve put into it.
Oh yah, I forgot to mention I changed my about page too!

My girlfriend, family, friends, my health and that a I have a job in this not so great economy.
A special note to my coworkers: I am thankful for you all and I had great time spending time talking at yesterday’s Thanksgiving Potluck. Let’s rock the Casba!

We have released a new product and that is why my blog has been dormant. For the past three weeks I have been working 60-70 hour weeks. Cry more right? I am just glad things have settled down a bit that I took it easy this past weekend.
Friday night Adam cooked us his famous spaghetti and meatballs. Had great conversation along with some great wine. Ended the night playing some Rockband 2. We are actually going to try to beat the game in a timely manner not like the first one.
Saturday, Carrie and I ran errands and picked up some things for the apartment. Had dinner at a Chinese restaurant then watched Role Models. It was filled with a lot of one lines by Sean William Scott. It wasn’t the best movie but it was hilarious and entertaining.
Yesterday Carrie and I went to our first MLS game which happened to be the MLS Cup. We went with Adam and Justin, the tickets were courtesy of John. Thanks John! We were cheering for the New York Red Bulls but unfortunately they lost to Columbus. It was interesting and it made me want to play soccer with the guys after work. MAYBE.
The holiday is coming up. Looking forward to family, eating and friends! I have more time to rant now so keep an eye out for some fresh posts…or something. Whoda OUT!
