I am a son, brother, boyfriend, friend, engineer, developer, burner, retired wow geek and wannabe photographer.
You can find me on Yelp and Flickr.
My favorite comic strips are Penny Arcade, LFG Comic and XKCD.
In the professional world I started as a developer for a dot bomb called Natural Healthlink and have had multiple jobs since then as a consultant, developer and project manager. I am currently an Engineer for Technorati.
Some of the artists you can find on my IPOD are Binary Star, The Roots, The Beatles, Bassnectar, Elvis, The Vandals, Michael Buble, Jill Scott, Weezer, NOFX, Mos Def and Talib Kweli. Along with many but those are some of my favorite musicians. I am pretty much an eclectic kind of guy. You can blame my dad.
One of my favorite charities is GlobalGiving and donating to the Filipino micro-loan rice farmer project. I was inspired by the Beatrice Theorem.
Carrie and Adam say that my spirit animal is the koala because it looks nice and harmless but it’s really aggro. It also will throw it’s feces at you if you cross it. I guess I can see myself throwing my feces at someone. >shrug< At least I look harmless and nice.
I am a recovering WoW addict and yes I did sell my account. It was the only way for me to stop raiding.
I became a burner and I can say Burning Man was a life changing experience. Each day after my first burn I’ve been learning to apply the values of Burning Man into my everyday life. You can ask me what Burning Man is but describing the event itself is like describing color to a blind person. The only thing I can do is point you to this amazing article about it.
I’ve also fallen in love with reading. I remember reading as a kid was such a chore. I now get excited every time I finish a chapter. You can see what I am reading here. I would also like to say Orson Scott Card is a genius.
The coolest thing about my day is my drive home from work because I get to see the sun set on the California Coast, which is amazing and I come home to a beautiful woman.
I love to travel and have been to different countries such as Ireland, China, Philippines, England, France and Germany. In 2006 I went back packing through Europe and I fell in love with the city of Berlin.
My parents are my heroes.
Lastly, I need to remind myself that it’s ok to move on sometimes but never forget.
