Warhammering

So We’ve been playing Warhammer for a good three weeks I would say and I have made some observations about the game. Some of these are good but most are bad. Don’t get me wrong its a cool game overall and I like but some fixes seriously need to be made, specifically with their PVE content.

When you aggro the NPC you can aggro another one from across the map. Then the NPC will run away and aggro more mobs. Other times you can just pull one and only one will come. Yah, I don’t get it. The other issue I have is the respawn rate. Either I am not killing them fast enough or the respawn rate is like ten seconds at best.

What I do like however is the PVP aspect of it. It’s awesome. They got that down solid. The scenarios are much better than WoW Battlegrounds. Adding to that is you can gain a lot of XP running scenarios. It’s also cool that we are playing with some old Saga folks like Andy, Mel and Sean.

Adam, Carrie and I are Rank 17 and 18 so we’re getting there. It’s been interesting so far but not enough for me to drop WoW completely. Can’t wait to see the end game aspect of the game though!

What A Long Week

For some reason last week was a pretty long week. I felt drain coming into the weekend. At work, I worked on our dev boxes installing Django and recreating our MySQL DEV DB. Brushing up on my Linux h4x0r sk1llz. It was pretty much easy with the exception of Python hating me. I had to recompile the mofo 3 times with the right devel packages to work. Dah well! Thanks to Andy for the help he provided me.

In other news I’ve just been playing WoW and WAR. I’m in full tier 7 on my priest…w00t. In WAR I got my White Lion up to Level 12 but the gang decided we needed a tank. So I am rerolling and spent a couple of hours leveling my Swordmaster. I need to catch up. :)

Yesterday we watched Role Models which was freakin’ hilarious. After that we caught the Tonight Show and Seth Rogen was a guest. Man that guy lost a lot of weight. He is motivating me to hit the gym again. /flex

One Year Anniversary!

So on Monday was my one year anniversary at Technorati.  My coworkers bought me a big frigging cookie! Thanks guys!

One Drug for Another

For some reason Adam won’t play World of Warcraft with me so I convinced him to play Warhammer Online: Age of Reckining and he agreed. Not only did I convince him, I convinced Carrie to play. :) So we’ll see how our trio does. By the time we installed it tonight the servers were down for maintence and will be down until 5pm. I think it’s because of the new event that will be going on. Hit me up if you want in on this action…lol.

Time Warner DNS

It’s pretty crappy as of late in Los Angeles. I recommend switching your DNS to point to OpenDNS. Free, reliable and fast. Do it. NAO!
